Club President Leissa Kelly would like to welcome you to the official Geelong Lions Club website.
Geelong Lions members have been serving the community since 1953 and will continue to do so for many years to come.

As Lions, we meet the needs of our local communities and the world.
Our 1.4 million members include men and women in 210 countries and geographic areas who conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Global Causes
DIABETES
We serve to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those diagnosed.
ENVIRONMENT
We serve to sustainably protect and restore our environment to improve the well-being of all communities.
HUNGER
We serve to ensure all community members have access to nutritious foods.
VISION
We serve to prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.
CHILDHOOD CANCER
Lions and Leos provide support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities.
Presidential Theme
We Serve
“We Serve” is the official presidential theme. Accomplished people from around the world have led our great association in its over 100-year history. While each international president brings their unique perspective and expertise to Lions Clubs International, there has (and always will be) a single constant that unites all Lions: service.
With this as a guide, each president is committed to helping clubs increase their service, and as a result, their impact on our local and global communities.
The international president also develops a unique expression of the presidential theme to help communicate a vision for the year.

Our 2026-27 International President
International President Mark S. Lyon is a husband, father, musician, corporate executive, leader – and in many ways, just a regular Lion. President Lyon believes that service is the cornerstone of our organization and that every act of service, whether big or small, has the power to create a ripple effect of positive action. By remaining rooted in service and advocating for those we serve, we will make the world a better place.
Rooted in Service
Like a mighty oak, Lions are rooted in purpose and service. Our strength comes not from standing alone, but from the help, hope and care we provide others. For more than 100 years, Lions have supported communities in moments of need, changing lives through compassion and action. Service is the soil in which we grow — our roots run deep, our impact endures and our work is built to last for generations.
